The Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC), a property valuation association with more than 5,000 members across Canada, has elected a bilingual appraiser with more than three decades of professional experience to serve as president of its board of directors.
During its annual conference, held June 3-6 in Kelowna, British Columbia, the AIC inducted Daniel Doucet to its board. Doucet, AACI, P.App, is currently the general manager and senior director of research, valuation and advisory at the Moncton office of the Altus Group, a provider of independent advisory services, software and data solutions to the global commercial real estate industry.

In the latter part of his career, Doucet was involved in First Nations Specific Land Claims and Expropriation/litigation assignments.
Doucet has been an active volunteer within provincial and national committees of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and the New Brunswick Association of Real Estate Appraisers. He is fully bilingual and can serve AIC members who speak both French and English.
“I am proud to be the next elected leader to the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Our organization has a long and proud history and our members have earned a reputation of being Canada’s appraisal professionals of choice,” Doucet said.
