A civil lawsuit filed against a Texas appraiser has been dismissed, and the appraiser has returned to good standing with the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB).
In March 2015, Scott Wolinsky, and his wife Maria, filed a lawsuit against George Kahle Group LLC and owner George Kahle III. The case was filed after Kahle was reprimanded by the TALCB for USPAP violations involving a pair of appraisals performed in 2013.
On April 29, the civil case in the district court of Harris County, Texas, was dismissed with prejudice.
After being found guilty by the TALCB of USPAP violations, Kahle was fined and his license was suspended but fully probated, to allow Kahle to come into compliance and maintain his license. He was ordered to complete a log, get additional education and mentorship and to not sponsor trainees for 18 months.
Kahle completed all those tasks and the TALCB lists his status as "In Compliance."
