The Sept. 14 effective date for many sections of the Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) Single Family Housing Policy Handbook is just around the corner. A pair of webinars are scheduled to explain these policies in-depth.
The first of these will be from 9 a.m. to noon EST Aug. 20, with the second from 2 to 5 p.m. EST Aug. 25.
Individuals including mortgagees or stakeholders finalizing FHA transactions for implementation should consider attending these sessions. FHA is offering these webinar opportunities because of the high interest in FHA’s live forums conducted over the last few months.
These sessions will afford individuals the opportunity to hear from, and ask questions to, FHA subject matter experts. The webinars cover the SF Handbook structure, format and the content of the following SF Handbook sections:
- Doing business with FHA-Lenders and Mortgagees;
- Origination through Post-Closing/Endorsement for Title II Forward Mortgages;
- Appraiser and Property Requirements for Title II Forward and Reverse Mortgages; and
- Quality Control, Oversight, and Compliance-Lenders and Mortgagees.
The sessions are open to all interested stakeholders, but are geared primarily to those with in-depth practical experience in using and applying FHA Single Family Housing policies on a regular basis within a mortgage lending context. The sessions will concentrate on FHA policy-specific insurance endorsement requirements applicable to:
- Loan Processors, Underwriters, Production Managers, and Origination Staff;
- Quality Control Staff;
