The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) has announced its schedule for specific appraisal training sessions scheduled for later this month and April. Appraisers in Philadelphia and Denver will have course opportunities awaiting them.
The FHA Appraisals (Philadelphia Homeownership Center) course will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. EST March 23, 2016. It will be a live, on-site training providing an overview of the appraisal requirements outlined in the Single Family Handbook 4000.1. The training topics will include property inspection requirements, appraisal validity period, manufactured homes, water and septic, attic and crawl space inspection, and the FHA Appraiser Roster. FHA appraisers, underwriters, and lender management personnel with levels of experience will benefit from this course.
Registration is required and will automatically close March 18. This course will be held in a federal facility so allow extra time to go through security screening.
The FHA Appraisal (Denver Homeownership Center) will take place from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. CST April 7 and April 13, 2016. These free one-day classes will discuss FHA appraisal requirements, including FHA appraisal protocol and updates to FHA appraisal policy. It also equips attendees with the knowledge to determine proper eligibility. These courses will be a refresher for seasoned FHA appraisers and provides valuable information to appraisers new to the FHA roster. Although primarily intended for appraisers, other industry professionals will also benefit, including underwriters, processors, etc.
