The Appraisal Institute (AI) recently had its Twitter account and YouTube channel hacked, prompting inappropriate and unauthorized tweets sent that were attributed to the appraisal organization.
The hacking occurred last week. Valuation Review reached out to AI for an official comment on this matter.
“The Appraisal Institute’s Twitter account and YouTube channel were compromised last week,” AI spokesperson Ken Chitester told Valuation Review. “Twitter has since been restored, temporarily using the handle: @RealAI_National. We’re in the process of restoring our YouTube channel.”
“We are investigating the matter and have no further comment at this time,” Chitester added.
The original Twitter handle for AI was @AI_National. That site was compromised after the hack and now appears to be deleted as AI works to restore control of it.
