Valuation Management Group (VMG) announced April 9 that the company has been registered to now conduct business in Virginia, in addition to 45 other states VMG currently serves.
VMG handles the entire appraisal process for residential and commercial properties, including approving appraisers; managing appraiser panels; managing the bid process on complex properties, commercial assignments and EPA inspections; engaging appraisers; paying appraisers; and reviewing finished reports.
The company’s goal is to provide a timely and efficient service while facilitating and simplifying the real estate appraisal process.
VMG appraisal management services are designed to help financial institutions adhere to appraisal compliance in accordance with the Dodd-Frank Act, FHA Appraisal Guidelines, Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, USPAP Guidelines, UAD and Collateral Underwriter Guidelines, FIRREA, TAVMA, and state and national appraiser independence laws. VMG also offers commercial and residential appraisal review services.
According to Chief Operating Officer Patrick McMillen, VMG will continue to register and be appropriately licensed in all applicable states as the remaining state appraisal management company laws are passed.
