After putting a temporary hold on early registration for the Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) Electronic Appraisal Delivery (EAD), FHA reopened registration last week.
Mortgagees are encouraged to register as soon as possible to participate in one of seven available onboarding phases, and must participate in an onboarding phase on or before the EAD portal’s June 27, 2016, mandatory use date.
Information on the onboarding phase, and how to register for a phase in FHAC, is available on FHA’s EAD portal Mortgagee Onboarding Process web page. By completing an early onboarding phase, mortgagees will have more time to work within the EAD portal to ensure that their systems, data flow, and operational processes map to requirements before the mandatory use date.
