SharperLending LLC has enhanced its Appraisal Firewall software with additional settings and user rights to strengthen management capabilities and optimize process efficiency for mortgage lenders that manage their own appraisal process. The newly extended settings and user rights complement existing features in the system to better align a user’s responsibilities in a lender’s office with their assigned responsibilities in the Appraisal Firewall software.
Appraisal administrators or appraisal desk operators at a lender’s office usually implement and manage appraisal policies and procedures that affect a broad swath of employees. The ability for appraisal administrators to use Appraisal Firewall to segment duties based on a user’s responsibility leads to better operational efficiency by limiting the scope of work to only those users that need to be involved at certain touch points.
Appraisal administrators can work with and apply these settings themselves in Appraisal Firewall, which provides stronger management functionality to mortgage lenders to accommodate these and other custom-tailored operations to help streamline appraisal workflow.
“Lenders’ businesses are rarely uniform,” SharperLending President and CEO Dave Black said in the press release. “Real estate appraisal technologies that allow lenders to manage their own appraisal process internally must put the lender in complete control and follow the unique aspects of their operation. The ability for the lender to apply this continually growing list of user settings themselves is just one of the ways that Appraisal Firewall delivers this control.”
