Tyler Technologies Inc. recently announced it has signed a four-year agreement to provide Hillsborough County in Florida with appraisal services in an effort to provide more efficient assessment services and save taxpayers money, according to a press release.
“This strategic collaboration between the Hillsborough County property appraiser and Tyler is designed to revolutionize the way property assessments are conducted, ensuring taxpayers receive faster, more efficient services while driving down costs,” Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Bob Henriquez said in the release. “This partnership supports the property appraiser’s efforts to ensure effective governance, reduce its budget, and reinvest the savings into other critical public services.”
By working with Tyler, Hillsborough County is setting a new standard for accuracy and quality in its assessments. This partnership is projected to generate significant savings, with an initial forecast of nearly $225,000 annually over a four-year period.
Tyler’s appraisal services will manage the assessments of commercial and exempt properties in Hillsborough County, and in turn, enhance the precision of the assessment and streamline the county’s processes.
“Tyler brings significant expertise in this area with appraisal services conducted in nearly all 50 states and 26 state capitals for more than 85 years,” Mark Hawkins, president of Tyler’s Property & Recording Division, said. “Hillsborough County officials are focused on driving additional efficiency through this effort and this proactive approach to governance will serve its residents through accurate, timely, and seamless appraisal services.”
Hillsborough County is located in the west-central portion of Florida and includes the city of Tampa. It has an approximate population of 1.5 million, making it the fourth-most populous county in Florida.
